One dog spots something to the left, the other swings right, and three steps later the leashes are wrapped around each other, around your legs and around at least one dog. It is not your dogs and it is not you: two separate leashes simply have no way of passing each other.

The Tangle-Free Dual Dog Leash fixes that with one handle, two straps and a 360 degree swivel where they meet. When your dogs circle each other the straps turn with them and slide back apart, so you keep walking instead of standing still untying tape. Each strap reels out to about 2.4 metres and locks on its own button, and a detachable LED torch clips on top for the dark half of the year.

The 360 degree swivel lets both straps rotate freely, so your dogs can cross, circle and swap sides as often as they like. The tapes slide past each other instead of winding together. No more standing on the pavement lifting a leash over someone's head.

Two colour coded brake buttons sit side by side under your thumb, green for one strap and orange for the other. Lock one dog in close while the other keeps exploring, or press both when a cyclist comes past. You never have to work out which leash is which.

✔️ One hand does the whole walk
The wide moulded grip holds both reels, so your other hand stays free for the coffee, the phone or the front door. The clip on top has a bone shaped opening that takes a roll of waste bags, and it is just as happy holding your keys, so you leave the house with everything on one thing.

✔️ Room to roam, and back in close when you need it
Each strap extends to roughly 2.4 metres and retracts on its own, so your dogs can explore the wide open bits and come in tight on a narrow pavement. The slack never gathers into loops around anyone's legs.

✔️ Flat webbing, not thin cord
Both leads are wide woven straps rather than the thin cord you find on cheaper retractables, running into a reinforced housing and finished with heavy chrome trigger clips. Wide tape spreads the load and is far kinder to your hands if you ever have to grab it mid walk.

✔️ A torch you can take off the handle
The LED torch slides out of its holder, so you can point it at the gate, the lead clip or whatever your dog just found in the grass, then click it back on. It has a focusing lens and runs on AAA batteries. Both straps are reflective on both sides, so passing headlights pick your dogs out from either direction.
